Murran Alexis Billi, born in 1973 in St. Tropez, France, is a talented painter and tattoo artist renowned for his original work. He initially studied jewelry at Art School and briefly attended the prestigious Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze before embarking on a diverse artistic journey that shaped his unique style.
In 1999, Murran chose to pursue a self-taught tattoo career, traveling the world to learn from renowned tattoo artists and painters like Michael Hussar, Shawn Barber, David Kassan, Henrik Uldalen, and Kevin Llewellin.
His talent in “Realistic Tattoos” earned him awards, including winning “Best of Show” at the 2010 Ink-N-Iron convention in California, leading to magazine features and recognition on Slingers Magazine’s list of the top tattoo artists globally.
Murran is an accomplished tattoo artist, creator of LVXlight, a revolutionary tattoo light, and a respected contest judge. He provides consultancy at conventions, organizes workshops with leading suppliers, and motivates artists at global conferences.
His artistic versatility extends to painting. Winsor & Newton granted him access to their London gallery in 2012 for a course on the Alla Prima technique. He curated educational programs for the ICA and replicated this approach in Las Vegas in 2015.
Murran’s artwork has been featured in exhibitions, including the “Tattoo Forever” exhibition in Rome in 2016. He collaborated with figures in various fields, such as mentoring David Kassan in tattooing and working with soccer players like Federico Bernardeschi, Claudio Marchisio, and Cristian Tello.
In recent years, Murran’s artistic endeavors have led to significant commissioned pieces, including a Cristiano Ronaldo artwork and a 2021 Conor McGregor artwork personally delivered to the UFC champion in Dubai.
