The Pacific Ink & Art Expo (PIAE), also known as the Hawaii Tattoo Expo, is celebrated as one of the premier tattoo shows in the USA, if not worldwide. Each year, renowned and visionary artists from various styles and cultural backgrounds gather in Hawaii to showcase their work, share knowledge, and learn from one another in an environment that fosters loyalty, family, friendship, and prosperity.
PIAE is proudly a “culture first” event, deeply rooted in Polynesian heritage. Throughout the three-day festival, attendees will experience ancient traditional tattooing techniques known as kakau (Hawaiian style tattooing, derived from “ka,” meaning “to strike,” and “kau,” meaning “to place upon”) and tatau (Samoan tattooing). Additionally, visitors will be immersed in the rich sounds of Hawaiian music and the vibrant movements of traditional dances, all of which reflect the island’s cultural and spiritual practices.
Established for tattooists, enthusiasts, and collectors, PIAE caters to the needs, desires, and aspirations of artists and cultural practitioners alike. The event is meticulously crafted to ensure it stands out, with a focus on attention to detail that everyone involved appreciates.
As a proud sponsor and vendor, H2Ocean is excited to be part of the 2024 Hawaii Tattoo Expo, where we can engage with artists and attendees, and share in the true Hawaiian spirit of love and aloha. At PIAE, you become more than just a participant or visitor; you are part of the Ohana (Hawaiian for “family”). We value the talents and passions of the artists, and we cherish getting to know the vendors, exhibitors, patrons, and their families. The sense of community and connection is a big reason why the Expo sells out quickly every year—it’s truly the place to be. No joke!
