Bob Tyrrell is an American tattoo artist best known for his realism, black-and-gray tattooing style.
Bob Tyrrell started his career as an apprenticeship with Tramp, the owner of Eternal Tattoos in my Detroit hometown. He embraced a full-time tattooing career at the age of 34, under the mentorship of Tom Renshaw. He spent six years at Eternal before transitioning to working on the road, participating in conventions and guest spots.
Currently, I’m exploring opportunities to paint, engage in fine art, and focus more on tattooing. Despite the constant travel, I find fulfillment in my journey, realizing my childhood dream of becoming an artist, albeit a bit later in life.
He has been featured in LA Ink and London Ink. He became known for tattooing Kid Rock’s back. In 2012, he participated as a jury member in the first Chaudesaigues Award, an award that recognizes the career and artwork of tattoo artists. In that year, he appeared on an episode of Ink Master as a special guest judge.
Bob Tyrrell is part of a tattoo artists band called “Monster Fuckers”, that H2Ocean produced in 2014-2015. He loves tattooing monsters and plays guitar as a lefty.
