Steve Tefft, a celebrated tattoo artist, has been shaping the tattoo industry for over 20 years. His passion for tattoos ignited at the tender age of seven after witnessing a grim reaper tattoo. This fascination with dark, horror-themed imagery has profoundly influenced his artistic style. Steve’s journey began with drawing monsters during kindergarten recess and evolved into tattooing friends by 1990. Realizing the need for formal training, he dedicated himself to mastering the craft at a licensed tattoo shop.
In 2012, Steve’s talent and dedication culminated in his victory on Season 2 of the reality TV show “Ink Master,” a milestone that significantly boosted his career. Following his win, he invested his prize money into expanding his tattoo shop, 12 Tattoos & Body Piercing, in Groton, Connecticut. Known for his meticulous monochromatic horror tattoos, Steve continues to leave an indelible mark on the tattoo world, participating in conventions, guest spots, and workshops to inspire and educate upcoming artists
